Appointments

If you are unwell or need to discuss a problem with the doctor or senior nurse you need to telephone the triage line on 01332 700455 and select Option 2. All our doctor and senior nurse appointments operate on a book-on-the-day system through the triage line. We also have a small number of advance appointments available. We may be able to conduct some consultations over the telephone. We try to book you in with the clinician of your choice but to maintain the same day service this is not always possible. A standard appointment time is 10 minutes.

For routine appointments or other enquiries call 01332 861180.

Repeat Prescriptions

Please make use of our online facility to order repeat presciptions. This can be accessed directly from the main menu or by clicking here.

Patients can also use these other methods: drop off your request at either surgery; post to us; email or fax (01332 861181) or; ask the local pharmacies to bring the request up to us. Note however that repeat prescription requests must always be in writing - we do not accept them over the phone except from people who are very elderly or genuinely housebound.

Please allow a minimum of 72 hours for your prescription to be processed. Some local chemists regularly collect prescriptions on patients behalf from the surgery. Please check with reception if your pharmacy offers this service. For other pharmacies you will have to make your own arrangements if you want them to collect from the surgery.

Out of hours

If you need medical assistance out of hours the following services are available:

Surgery out of hours service - call 111

From 27th March 2012, NHS Direct will no longer be available. A new service is being introduced country-wide from this date. This number is to be used to access non-emergency NHS healthcare. It does not replace the 999 call for an emergency. Calls to the 111 service are free to patients and the service is staffed by fully trained call advisors. The caller is guided to locally available services or provided with advice/information. Patients will be put in touch with the right NHS service first time - no call back.

Emergencies - Call 999

In a medical emergency always ring 999. Do not contact the surgery or the out of hours service as in genuine emergencies time delays can have serious consequences.
