New opening times for Coleman branch surgery from 3rd January 2012
Following the results of the recent patient survey it has been decided that the Coleman branch surgery will open at 9 a.m. Monday to Friday. This will enable patients to telephone the surgery and access reception but session times with the doctor or nurse will not be affected and they will commence at the same times as previously.
Patient Survey Results
A local Patient Survey was drawn up focusing on priority areas agreed jointly by the Virtual Patient Representative Group, the Patient Participation Group and The Practice.
The Practice sent out 100 virtual surveys to those patients on the Virtual PRG. It also sent out 300 paper surveys to a random selection of patients on the Meadowfields Practice List. (The guidance is 25 surveys per 1000 patients). The Practice has approximately 9,000 patients.
The Practice received 80 completed surveys (20% of those sent out). In reality this represented slightly less than 1% of our total practice population. Comments received on the Comment Cards, the PPG feedback forms and any complaints will also be taken into consideration when drawing up an Action Plan for next year, as well as any comments received from the Virtual PRG and PPG in response to the survey.

Seasonal Flu Vaccination 2011
The Practice will be offering the seasonal flu vaccination to patients 65 or older and to those patients with chronic conditions such as: Asthma, COPD, Heart disease, Kidney Disease, Spleen problems, Diabetes, Liver disease, Stroke or TIA, Chronic bronchitis & Neurological conditions. The vaccination is also offered if you are pregnant, the main carer for an elderly or disabled person, frontline healthcare worker, or live in a nursing or residential home. All eligible patients should receive a letter inviting them to attend. If you have not received this letter but believe that you should receive the flu vaccination please contact the surgery. Also if you would like to refuse the vaccination please inform reception so that we will not contact you again this year.
There are no more clinics arranged for the flu vaccination but if you are eligible and would like to have the vaccination please contact reception. Thank you.
